[Food] - Oyster (HH $1.50ea): From what I've noticed the larger oysters are more briney which I don't mind too much. For HH price, this was pretty decent. - 1/2lb Clams ($8.72): Got this in mild with their Cap't Loui Cajun sauce. There was a bit of sand and random shards of clams, so best to eat slowly and carefully. The sauce was good but was a tad too sweet compared to other cajun boil sauces. I do personally prefer the more savory ones. Still decent for the price though. [Service] - Friendly, helpful, fast - Happy Hour is currently on Tuesday & Wednesday [Ambiance] - Decent amount of seating - No wait on a Tuesday at around 1:15pm [Overall] - Would come back again for the HH oysters and would try the clams again in a different sauce.

Next to Dim Sum, I labsolutely love a good seafood boil. So, whilst visiting the area we were staying nearby and stumbled across Cap't Loui, and immediately got excited about trying the place out....and we were not disappointed. One would never think of finding a seafood boil place in these neck of the woods, but upon entering, we thought this place was very cool, casual, and fun vibe to it.....with that converted warehouse interior decor. Unfortunately, the time we went was during the super hot temperatures outside, and their AC was not working. We had reviewed their menu before coming in and had decided on "The Boiler" combo where you fill your bag with your 2, 3, or 4 favorite seafood items, pick a sauce you like (with a choice level of mild to x-tra hot), add extras (like corn, sausages, potatoes boiled eggs, etc.), then sit and wait. We went ahead and ordered the King Crab, Dungeness Crab, and Shrimp (head off), with corn, potatoes, and boiled eggs. Se[rately, we ordered some sweet potato fries. So, the king crab legs were big, but we knew they were previously frozen.....the meat was good, but tasted a bit salty. However, we still enjoyed it with some lemon pepper (buttery) sauce. Oh, they usually mix the sauce with the seafood before serving, but we ordered it separately as we like to enjoy the fresh taste of the seafood, and be able to control the flavor with the sauces. We also requested a sample of the Cap't Loui house sauce, which I found a bit spicy for my tsates, but my wife loved it. Secondly, the shrimp with head on were good, but my wife thought they were a bit overdone, so we called the young man over (whom we assume was the manager) and explained this to him. He was so so nice and highly recommended we try the shrimp with head on then, and subsequently brought us a freshly boiled, full serving bowl of shrimp with head still on. I have to say that the fresh (live) Dungeness Crab and Shrimp (with head on, were absolutely amazingly delicious!!!....and my favorites! The crab was so fresh, the meat was sweet and so soft, tender, and juicy, and went so perfectly with the butter sauce. Furthermore, the Shrimp with head on this time were so much better! The meat was firm, plump, and juicy....you can taste the freshness vs frozen......and again, went great with some yummy dipping sauce. Other than the seafood, the sweet potato fries we ordered as an appetizer were super good and yummy too.....hot, fresh, and had a perfectly light crunch on the outside and soft, yummy, and steaming inside.....perfect way to start off the meal. Service was very good, attentive, and friendly.....which made our dining experience that much better. Will most definitely be coming back the next time we're in town.

Came here for dinner for the first time. We parked at plaza parking. Was seated right away at one of the booths. Staff is friendly. We ordered Cup of clam chowder 1 pound snow crab 1 pound shrimp head on (Captain Louie sauce and Medium spicy) Fish and chips basket (Cajun fries) Garlic noodles on the side Beignets It's nice that potatoes and corn come with the boiler combo. They also gave us paper trays with bibs/gloves/ plastic spoons and forks. The food tasted good, I was surprised at how spicy medium is! The fish in the fish and chips basket was crunchy but dry. The Cajun fries were cooked well but it had so much Cajun seasoning it was a bit overpowering. There were 3 mini flies flying around us and our food. I felt like I was fighting to eat. Even when I tried to blow the flies away they came towards my mouth instead of away. Husband and I were very hungry we would have finished it but we didn't finish our food because we kinda lost our appetite and got tired of fighting the flies so we took it back. Our server was friendly, but it did get busy at the restaurant and he forgot my soup but that's okay it eventually came. The clam chowder did taste a bit sour. The beignets tasted good. Bathroom is clean. I would come back for takeout because of the flies.

Captain Loui is hands down the best seafood boil I've ever had. Since discovering it a year ago, I've been going once or twice a month, every time I'm in the area. Their oyster promotions are fantastic, and I always make a point to visit when they have live crawfish. Everything is super fresh, and the sauce is amazing. The garlic noodles and sausages are a must-try. Their Cajun fries and fried chicken are literally to die for--so good, so, so good. And I have no idea what they put in the Shirley Temple served in Capri Sun bags, but it hits completely different. Captain Loui is a seafood lover's paradise, and I can't recommend it enough! The service is phenomenal, especially Aang, who is always attentive and literally the GOAT. Whether I'm going with groups of friends, family, or on a date, we always have a great time. The vibes are immaculate, which is exactly what you want when eating with your (gloved) hands. (Also, Gloves, a bib, and a hair tie for those with longer hair are always provided as well as a delicious mint after the meal!)
